MILIND DEORA (Congress)

Age: 27 year

Profile: Twenty-seven-year-old Milind Deora is son of Congress veteran Murli Deora. He is the youngest MP in India. He won the elections in South Mumbai, Maharashtra by defeating BJP Union minister Jaywantiben Mehta. 

Won by: 3,90,179 votes.

SACHIN PILOT (Congress)

Age: 27 year

Profile: He contested from his father's constituency in Dausa in Rajasthan is yet another younger generation personality to win. Sachin defeated his rival K.S. Dhadana (BJP). 

Won by: 1,14,865 votes.

AKHILESH YADAV (Samajwadi Party)

Age: 31 year

Profile: Son of U.P.'s Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, Akhilesh represented the constituency of Kannauj. This young contender won by a large number of votes and showed thumbs down to Rajesh Singh of BSP. 

Won by: 3,07,373 votes.

JYOTIRADITYA SCINDIA (Congress)

Age: 33 year

Profile: Jyotiraditya faced the poll battle with 57-year-old Harivallabh Shukla (BJP) in Guna, Madhya Pradesh. The royal Scindia family has been associated with the masses for over 250 years. BJP'S Harivallabh Shukla lost to him. 

Won by: 86,350 votes.

DUSHYANT SINGH (BJP)

Age: 33 year

Profile: The Rajasthan Chief Minister, Vasundhara Raje Scindia's son, Dushyant Singh, has won the Jhalawar constituency, once held by his mother before she became the Chief Minister. His rival Sanjay Singh Gurjar of Congress had to suffer defeat. 

Won by: 80,493 votes.

RAHUL GANDHI (Congress)

Age: 34 year

Profile: The 34 year son of former late Prime minister Rajiv Gandhi is a debutant in politics. His first effort has been successful as he won from the Amethi Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh and defeated C.P. Misra of BJP. 

Won by: 3,90,179 votes.

NAVEEN JINDAL (Congress)

Age: 35 year

Profile: Mr. Naveen Jindal, Vice Chairman and MD, Jindal Steel and Power was declared a winner from Kurukshetra (Haryana) constituency. 

Won by: 1,60,190 votes.

SANDEEP DIXIT (Congress)

Age: 39 year

Profile: Son of Delhi Chief Minister, Sheila Dixit was declared a winner from the East Delhi constituency. He trounced his three time BJP MP Lal Bihari Tiwari by a huge number of votes being the largest in Delhi.

Won by: 2,29,779 votes.
